This is my first actual attempt at anything like this, so I made sure I spent a good deal of time on it. Full view is a must! And critique/comments are greatly appreciated. I really enjoyed working on this piece and want to know how I can improve for future ones
I know the brushing needs a bit of work. Though, I have got a lot better and discovered many new techniques since I began this piece, so that's a good thing!

I'm not entirely sure where it came from... I randomly decided to start making a planet (the first 2 planets I ever tried are in this ) following guidelines of Alyn's [link] planet creation tutorial. I also used methods taught by him when creating the stars and explosion. So, a big thanks to Alyn for being a great artist and sharing his knowledge with the rest of us
The landscape was created/rendered in Terragen, and the textures are from various stock sites, as well as a few of my own. It was then all built together in Photoshop over a few days

Once again, a big thanks to Alyn [link] and any others out there who have taught me stuff which emerges in this piece ^_^
The name is also borrowed from a song by Djevara [link] - it kept coming on my playlist whilst I was making this picture, so I thought 'why not?'
This is displayed at 65% of the original, so I'll probably be making some wallpapers of this scene available for those interested.
And best of all, it's my birthday tomorrow! As well as Valentines day! Wheee!
